Glyndwr University in Wrexham is to offer a new Foundation Degree in Library and Information Practice thanks to a new partnership between experts in computing and librarianship.
The first intake for the new Foundation Degree will start at the university this Autumn.
The course has been approved by Cilip (the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals) and will equip students with essential technical skills such as database management, research techniques and online search techniques through four one-week residential sessions and online teaching through blogs, interactive learning suites and social networking.
