Holocaust Memorial Day 2010

Holocaust Memorial Day (HMD) takes place internationally each year on 27 January, and over the past nine years thousands of teachers and librarians have commemorated HMD in their libraries and classrooms. 27 January 2010 marks a particularly poignant year as on this date 65 years ago, the largest Nazi concentration camp, Auschwitz-Birkenau, was liberated.

Holocaust Memorial Day Trust are urging everyone in the UK to become part of The Legacy of Hope on HMD 2010. You may also find it useful to request the free campaign pack and short film for HMD 2010, which is narrated by actor Daniel Radcliffe - full of ideas for planning your Holocaust Memorial Day activities.

If you would like any further information about resources, or about Holocaust Memorial Day, please do not hesitate to contact any of the HMDT Team on 0845 838 1883 or via email - enquiries[at]hmd.org.uk
