JISC Online Collections for Schools pilot project

From April 2008, all UK schools can benefit from nationally negotiated agreements for a range of specially selected, high quality online subscription services - from newspaper archives and image databanks to invaluable resources covering history, science, modern languages, art and music, and much, much more!

Discounts of up to 75%, as well as generous licensing terms, have been achieved by JISC Collections through direct negotiation with publishers on behalf of UK schools at a national level. To achieve the best discounts though, schools should subscribe together in a 'buying group' through their Regional Broadband Consortia.

The online resources offered through the scheme offer a whole host of benefits to teachers and learners alike. These include unlimited simultaneous access, use on interactive whiteboards and virtual learning platforms and incorporation into teaching material and student projects.

For your free 30-day trial of all of JISC Collections for Schools resources, simply e-mail schoolstrial(at)jisc.ac.uk or fill in the online form.
