Narnia offers remains open

Nominations open for SLA Executive Committee
The School Library Association is a self-governing body and the policy and decision making body, elected by SLA members, is the Executive Committee. Members stand for three years, with the possibility of a further term after one year off the Committee.We can now accept nominations for the ballot for new members of the Executive Committee to take place in the Spring. Nominations must reach the SLA office by 10th January, and the term for those elected by the membership will be June 2006 to June 2009.More information Nomination form
Kids Lit Quiz UK final
At a tense and exciting final of the Kids Lit Quiz in Newcastle on Monday, the UK winning team was Bancroft's school, Woodford Green, Essex, with the George Heriot's School, Edinburgh coming second and Tile Hill Wood School, Coventry third. Congratulations to an excellent team!
The worthy winners will now prepare to take part in the world finals in New Zealand in June 2006, and all over the UK kids are reading and preparing for next year's regional heats. The TES is a major sponsor of the UK quiz this year, read their report on the final.
