A SERVICE FOR ALL

An interactive training day for school librarians to explore effective library provision for students with special educational needs, and gifted and talented students.

MONDAY 6 OCTOBER 2008

9.30 am - 3.30 pm
Emmbrook School, Wokingham, Berks.

This SLA Central & East Berkshire Branch training day is being lead by Anne Harding, an independent trainer and lecturer. She specialises in children's and school libraries and young people's reading.

Course objectives include:

  • Exploring the needs of students and the role of the library in supporting them.
  • Strategies for fostering SEN and G&T students' reading and information literacy.
  • Greater knowledge of the educational framework to SEN and G&T provision.
  • New ideas for selecting, exploiting and promoting resources.
