This year's Spring Seminar entitled Teaching skills for school librarians will be held in the school library in St Andrew's College, Booterstown, Co. Dublin. We are very lucky to have Sharon Markless,renowned academic and lecturer at King's College, London, to present a day long seminar on teaching skills.

How do pupils learn to be information literate? This talk will explore what influences the effectiveness of pupils' learning and what is involved in the process. This will be a practical session exploring how to set learning outcomes and successful learning activities.

This session will cover planning an information literacy lesson, including effective group work, and assessing pupils' learning.
