As a School Librarian you may sometimes feel isolated and in need of someone to talk to. The SLA encourages the setting up of local Branches to enable members to meet together for mutual support. Branches often run events and courses locally. Members can belong to the Branch where they work, or one where they live if that is different.
We have also created a Toolkit for branch committee members, covering information such as branch stationery, guidance notes and sample documents for you to use. This is also available as an Online Branch Toolkit (you will need to be logged in as a member).
There are currently three National SLA Branches and sixteen Local or Regional Branches. Details of each are given on the linked pages below. If there is no Branch in your area and you would like information about starting one, please contact the SLA office on 01793 530166.
