Introduction to the SLA in Italian

La School Library Association (SLA) ha sede nel Regno Unito, ma conta molti membri in Europa e in altre parti del mondo. Chiunque sia impegnato nello sviluppo delle biblioteche scolastiche è benvenuto nell’Associazione! Tutti i materiali sono in lingua inglese.

Forniamo ai nostri iscritti consulenza, corsi di formazione e pubblicazioni, e pubblichiamo il periodico, The School Librarian. Abbiamo sezioni locali e regionali in Inghilterra e Galles, e sezioni nazionali in Scozia, Irlanda del Nord e Repubblica d’Irlanda.  Ci battiamo per lo sviluppo delle biblioteche scolastiche per conto dei bibliotecari scolastici. Nel 2004 abbiamo istituito il premio “Il bibliotecario scolastico dell’anno” (SLA School Librarian of the Year Award) con lo scopo di accrescere la consapevolezza circa le buone pratiche in atto nelle biblioteche scolastiche. Inoltre promuoviamo le biblioteche scolastiche celebrando la Giornata internazionale della biblioteca scolastica (International School Library Day) il primo lunedì di ottobre.

  • Crediamo che ogni allievo abbia diritto a un servizio bibliotecario scolastico efficace. La SLA è impegnata nel sostenere chiunque sia coinvolto nella biblioteca scolastica e nel promuovere opportunità di lettura e apprendimento di alta qualità per tutti.
