Members' and Librarians' Days


We are very pleased to announce that Oxford University Press are opening their doors for this exciting event.  The day will include -

  • A panel discussion Books and their use around the world with authors Tim Bowler, Geraldine McCaughrean and Anne-Marie Hansen (OUP Head of International Rights)

  • A presentation by Sue Dixon of The Thinking Child - Developing thinking skills through reading

  • A discussion on reading, advocacy, technology and promotion - Ask the Librarian - led by a panel of renowned librarians Joy Court, Ferelith Hordon and Bev Humphrey

  • The opportunity to visit the OUP Museum

About Members' and Librarians' Days

SLA Members' and Librarians' Days are held each year, usually at the premises of a Library Stock Supplier. Talks and informal training sessions are provided, with light refreshments, and attendees also have the opportunity to browse and order stock at a discount.
