Weekend Course 2015

Weekend 2015 Logo2Our 2015 Weekend Course took place on 12-14 June at Yarnfield Park, Stone in Staffordshire.

We enjoyed some fantastic speakers and lots of really interactive and informative workshops on the Saturday.  Friday night we had some relaxation – with salsa - and Saturday night we had a treat plus a quiz! There was a bookshop and trade exhibition too, and lots of opportunities for networking.

The title was Creating Future Learners: a Hoard of Knowledge, so it’s what we’re all about in school libraries, but also reflecting the recent finds of the Staffordshire Hoard (now housed in Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery, the Potteries Museum and Art Gallery, Lichfield Cathedral and Tamworth Castle) and the fact that libraries can be hoards of knowledge too!

The Weekend Course brochure is available to download below to give you an idea of the programme and how the weekend is run. Full details of next year's weekend course will be available at the beginning of 2016.
