News from last month, looking forward to this month's offers

I know you won’t need to be told that September was a busy month. Life has been busy in the SLA office too. The new website has attracted many compliments. If you have not yet logged in, please do try it. Please don’t hesitate to ring or email us if you need to.
As well as the vast resource of documents, we have posted information here during Sept on various subjects:
For members only:
Banned Books Week there was a booklist to help with displays or competitions

Booktrust School Pack of free books came with the offer of a draw to win a free author visit

For all:

Training at regional venues
Call for lightning papers for the Weekend Conference 2020
E-books and audio books for SEND pupils
Call for School Librarian of the Year Award nominations and also the Pupil Library Assistant Award nominations
Looking ahead to October
National Poetry Day + the Power of Poetry will get you into the swing of the day

National Library Week is approaching and we were sent details of school based resources, but also check the website for a great Lego competition your pupils could enter.

Other offers and competitions open to existing and new SLA members, so watch this space.
