Reading Skills for primary and secondary pupils

The Education Endowment Foundation has found in trials that primary pupils’ reading skills are boosted by a programme which gets them to question texts. This will help to close the disadvantage gap. ‘Reciprocal Reading’ is an approach widely used in English-speaking classrooms across the world but not commonly used in the UK. It is a structured approach to teaching strategies to improve students’ reading comprehension.
