Ukraine News

25 February 2022 Share

The situation in Ukraine as of February 2022 will change fast. But students of all ages will learn about it from the news. They will be afraid. They may be baffled by its importance. If we try to inform our students of the background, a little knowledge may help them to understand and allay their fears.

If your school subscribes to a newspaper such as:

https://subscribe.firstnews.co.uk/the-newspaper/

https://theday.co.uk/logged-out/

encourage pupils to read the articles in them, or extract information yourself and condense for them. Answer their questions so they are reassured. You may even - like many of us - want to know more yourself.

This compilation https://tinyurl.com/3uu9jxh9 also offers more perspectives - watch yourself before you present to students.

All this will change, but we will endeavour to remove any content which becomes out of date and add other relevant information.
