Petition to End Library Austerity
CILIP has launched a petition to end library austerity and restore revenue funding to libraries, with the intention to take the results to Number 10 with our Library Champion, Bobby Seagull, on Thursday 27 February 2020, ahead of the forthcoming Budget statement.
We would greatly appreciate your help in encouraging people in your communities both professionally and personally to sign this petition. And please do share this with any parties who are likely to get behind this action.
Since 2009/10, public library funding in the UK has been cut by an estimated £243m (25%).
Help @CILIPinfo and @Bobby_Seagull reverse 10 years of library austerity and tell the Government to #FundMyLibrary - sign the petition now at https://www.librariesdeliver.uk/austerityRead More
