Do you want to contribute to the running of the SLA?

Three of our trustees come to the end of their three year term at the AGM in September.  We are incredibly grateful to Stephen King, former Vice-Chair, Karan Kaur and Sarah Middleton for all their commitment and support of the SLA.

The SLA Board oversees the governance and leadership of the organisation and we need a wide range of skills on our board.  In the past two years, we have recruited from outside school libraries, to complement our skills. In order to keep the balance we now want to recruit from the school library sector or those with school library experience within the last ten years. If this isn't you, but you think you have demonstrable understanding of the work of school library staff, and would like to know more, please get in touch with Sue Bastone (see below).

The trustee roles for this year are for the following: Business Knowledge Trustee, Campaigning Trustee, Digital Trustee.  The full role descriptions can be found on the here.

Please consider joining our board.  We are a dynamic and engaged group of volunteers who work closely with the SLA staff to ensure the success and development of this fantastic organisation.
