50 word story competition

Storytime, the UK’s first and favourite monthly story magazine for children celebrates its 50th issue and four years of publication with a new 50-word story writing competition for children aged 3 to 9, giving the winning entry an opportunity to be published in Storytime.

Of the 50-word story competition, Storytime’s Marketing Director Leslie Coathup said, “What better way to engage and inspire young readers than to give them the chance to read their own story in Storytime? We felt that a 50-Word Story Competition was the perfect way to mark our 50th issue and four years of success as a children’s publisher. We can’t wait to read the entries.”

Schools and families interested in entering Storytime’s 50-word story competition can download a helpful pack for their children, which is full of writing tips and activities: https://www.storytimemagazine.com/50wordstory

The winning entry will be published in Storytime and receive a bundle of Storytime issues from 1 to 50, along with a winner’s certificate. The deadline for entry is 30 November 2018.
