Job Vacancies: Claycots School Partnership, Slough - Library and Reprographics Assistant (Town Hall Campuses)

Required As soon as possible

Salary: Level 3 SCP 14-18. Actual Salary: £7,969 to £8,550

20 hours per week, Term Time Only

As the largest primary school in the country, we are excited to be recruiting for a variety of roles to meet the needs of our rapid expansion. Following on from our recent successful Ofsted judgment (February 2015) we are seeking ambitious values driven professionals who are willing to work with us in our expansion and support us in driving forward the agenda for social equality and excellent provision for our children.

Claycots School Partnership, are looking to recruit a professional person with a passion for children’s literature to assist the Library Manager in the new state-of-the-art library. Duties will include:

  • To guide pupils and teachers to relevant resources and encourage use of the library.
  • To assist in the maintenance, promotion and development of library stock, including repairs and preparation of books
  • Assist in displays and promotions to encourage reading and embrace reading for pleasure
  • To assist teachers in the delivery of reading schemes and guided reading
  • To help library users develop their research skills and become proficient in using digital resources
  • Any other duties commensurate with the level of the post
  • Part of this role will also include reprographics for the school supervised by the Library Manager

The post holder would need to comply with health and safety requirements and ensure safety procedures are adhered to.

You would need to be flexible with hours and you could be required to work over both Campuses if required.

The successful candidate must have Grade C and above in Maths and English GCSE.

Experience of working in a school setting previously is desirable.
