Job Vacancies: Kingston Grammar School, London - Assistant Librarian

Assistant Librarian - Part Time  (35 hours per week, term time only)

Kingston Grammar School is seeking to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic Assistant Librarian to work alongside and assist the School Librarian with the day to day running of the School libraries and the IT facilities within them. 

Your main duties will include issuing, returning and renewing books on the computerised Library Management System and helping with basic enquiries from staff and pupils.

The Assistant Librarian will also have the development opportunity to cover for the Librarian one day a week with sole responsibility for managing the Library.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a similar role in a secondary school and be confident working independently with both staff and pupils in an extremely well-resourced and busy library.  You will also be a confident user of Microsoft Word, the Internet and using a Library Management System. 

Hours of work: Monday to Thursday (Exact hours, dependent on the school timetable); Friday 7.45am to 4.45pm.

Salary:  £26,000 - £29,000 full time equivalent pro-rated for the number of weeks worked plus pro-rated holiday, generous benefits and pension contributions
