Job Vacancies: Preston Manor School, Wembley - Learning Resource Centre Manager (All Through School 4 -18)

Required for September 2017 - 36 hours per week – Term time plus inset days + 1 week outside of term.

Salary – Scale SO2, Spinal Point 32 - 34 (£28,485 - £30,153 pro rata)

plus London Weighting (£1,848 pro rata) circa (£27,226 – £28,723 inclusive LW)

We are looking for an inspiring Learning Resource Centre Manager to beresponsible for the management of the school LRC (Learning Resource Centre), across both Upper & Lower School

As a LRC Manager you will be responsible for providing a stimulating and friendly atmosphere to encourage a love of learning and literacy.  Key priorities include promoting a love of reading for pleasure, ensuring effective and productive literacy intervention and being part of the whole school literacy strategy.

We are looking for an innovative individual who has good literacy, numeracy and communication skills as well as initiative, flexibility, a sense of humour and the ability to relate to children from a variety of ages and needs. We are particularly keen to hear from experienced librarians, graduates who are looking to go into the teaching profession or experienced teachers who are no longer in the classroom.  Experience of working with young people of secondary age would be an advantage.
