National Book Tokens launch annual £5,000 prize for one lucky school library

National Book Token’s annual schools' competition gives one lucky entrant the chance to win £5,000/€5,000 of National Book Tokens for their school - enough to buy hundreds of new books for the library. Plus the winner also receives £100/€100 of National Book Tokens to spend on themselves.

The competition is open to anyone resident in the UK or Ireland, with librarians, teachers, school staff and parents encouraged to share the competition in order to raise the odds of their school being picked as the overall winner.

Studies show that reading for pleasure doesn’t just give children an advantage academically; it can improve their wellbeing too, so this annual prize makes a very real difference to the lucky school library.

Entries open for this year’s prize draw this week.
