Just published world of books in translation

AdventivityWe have just published "A World of Books in Translation", a key guide to a wealth of topics and genres. 'Books in translation help us all to reach beyond our own language and culture.' writes David Almond in this exciting new Riveting Reads publication. Until recently few foreign books were translated into English, yet there is a vast untapped wealth of material out there from all corners of the world and our two well-known editors, our own Joy Court and the renown Daniel Hahn, writer, editor and translator, have gone some way to plugging the gap. They provide a superb selection of book titles for the under 8s through to the 14 + age ranges – titles that really should be on our library shelves. With pithy and illuminating annotations, if you don’t yet know some of these titles, here is an excellent listing for you and your readers, with a very welcome and shrewd introduction by our SLA President, the wonderful Kevin Crossley-Holland.

Available to purchase now from the SLA (ISBN 978-1-911222-00-20.
