Nominate your star librarian

Annie Brady

Nominations for School Librarian of the Year 2016 close on 22 January, so you still have time to recommend a colleague or friend for this prestigious award.

We are looking for librarians in primary or secondary schools who really enhance what their school offers to students. People who have a huge impact on learning and literacy, and ensure that the library lies at the heart of their school.

Help us to honour the excellent work that is carried out in school libraries every day, and highlight the best practice of those whose work is outstanding. Help us to find someone to follow in the footsteps of 2015 winner Annie Brady, librarian at an inner city boys' secondary school in Dublin. As her students said to our judging panel: "The library is the epicentre of the school and Annie is like a friend."

The Nomination Form is on our website, and Guidance Notes are available to help you prepare an effective nomination.

Let's give our best school librarians the recognition they deserve!
