Teachers live streaming bedtime stories


Coming in the same week that the BBC reported on reducing screen time for children, this can be a positive use of screen time.

A school in Essex is using Facebook Live as a tool to get pupils engaged with reading. So, for the parents who lack confidence, this is an alternative, which hopefully will be continued by the parents themselves once their poise is boosted.

The school reports on an uptake in reading at the school. 

However, be aware that copyright issues means whole books cannot be shared, even in this case, for an educational purpose.
