Hours: This is a part time, term time position working 24 hours per week from 09:30 to 18:00 Wednesday to Friday each week. In addition, a further 12 days per year will be worked on Tuesdays from 09:30 to 14:30.
Salary: Around 14,470 per annum actual (£26,433 FTE), depending on experience.
An Independent Day School for Boys with a Co-Educational Sixth Form
Founded in 1646, Reading Blue Coat is a leading independent day school of 824 pupils; 722 boys aged 11 – 18 and a further 102 girls in the co-educational sixth form which has over 300 pupils.
The School is located on a beautiful 46 acre campus in the village of Sonning, just outside Reading.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and energetic Librarian to join our team in a busy, vibrant school library.
This role would suit someone who works well with young people and has experience of working with 6th Form students to support independent research projects. The Librarians also run research skills sessions for the younger students.
The ideal candidate will have a good knowledge of children’s and YA publishing and the ability to enthuse young people about reading for pleasure. A friendly and approachable manner is essential along with excellent communication and IT skills, the ability to work well in a small team, a can-do attitude to challenges and a forward-thinking approach.
Preference will be given to candidates with a CILIP qualification or who are working towards it.
