Following her popular session last term, we are delighted to welcome back Laura Lodge from One Education to provide more tips on how to develop vocabulary amongst KS3 students. 

Focusing on strategies staff can use in their library, the session will cover

- Vocabulary acquisition and development

- Building breadth and precision of word knowledge

- Activating prior knowledge to aid comprehension

Speaker Details
Laura Lodge is a Senior Education Consultant and the Reading Award Lead at One Education. She offers bespoke support and advice to schools across both the primary and secondary phases, specialising particularly in Literacy. Laura also works as a curriculum expert for KS1 and KS2 Reading for the Department of Education and is one of the authors of Schofield & Sims Complete Comprehension series.
