Helping not Hindering - How to ensure student library helpers are an asset to your library
Having student library helpers in the school library can be a worthwhile and rewarding experience for both helpers and you as the Librarian. However, there is often debate on whether these students provide valuable help or end up being a hindrance which stops us getting on with what we really need to do. He is a passionate campaigner for school libraries and was instrumental, as part of the Save Scotland’s School Libraries Campaign, in petitioning the Scottish Parliament to introduce a National Strategy for School Libraries in Scotland.
