With over fifty members, there has never been a better time to join the Lancashire branch of the SLA. Members are spread throughout the county providing an opportunity to network and share best practice in support of one another and in celebrating the love of books and reading.

 Our calendar of events generally include training days in Spring and Autumn at which we endeavour to engage guest speakers from many and various aspects of our profession.

 New members are always given the warmest of welcomes at any of our events and if you have any enquiries please feel free to contact us.

Recent training

Spring 2024
Members were invited to a day of speakers, sharing best practice and an opportunity to tour the historic libraries and museum at Stonyhurst College, BB7 9PT.     
There was an opportunity for a tour of the historic libraries and museum, with a short talk about how Stonyhurst use the collections to enhance their curriculum.

AGM and Teachmeet Tuesday April 2023 - A successful day of sharing and information.

Playing Games in the School Library Nov 2022 - Sarah Pavey took us through some fun activities to do with students with learning as core.

2022 Lancashire Pupil Librarian Conference (July) - AKS pupil librarians and the senior school librarian, Amanda Culpan, hosted this year's event and celebrated the wonderful contribution our pupil librarians make to Lancashire School Libraries.
