The 27th IBBY UK Conference, Pages of Power and Protest: Children's Literature and Politics will take place on 11th November 2023 at the Centre for Literacy in Primary Education (CLPE), Webber St, London SE1 8QW.
Plenary speakers include Beverley Naidoo, Sheilina Janmohamed, author of Story of Now: Let’s Talk About the British Empire and Phyllis Ramage, school librarian and Carnegie Medal judge, while panel members include Lesley Parr, Christine Pillainayagam and Cerrie Burnell.
The conference will take its familiar format of plenary speakers, panel discussions and parallel sessions, and the fee includes a buffet lunch.
There will be plenty of time for networking and catching up with old and new friends, and the Newham Bookshop will provide a stall offering many of the books recommended by speakers.
