The Reading Agency releases a themed Book Collection for the Summer Reading Challenge every year. This list of recommended reads for children aged 4-11 provides inspiration for children choosing books for their Challenge. The collection includes fiction, non-fiction, poetry, and graphic novels , that reflect a wide range of characters and experiences.
If you take part in their Readers' Panel, you can expect to receive a mix of picture books, early readers, and middle grade titles. These are often brand-new titles for 2024 so it is very exciting! You will be required to read and provide feedback on a minimum of six titles but the more you can read for them, the better! Before reading and reviewing titles, they will provide you with their selection criteria, which is handy to have in mind whilst reading.
Titles will be sent to readers around 11th December 2023. You will then have until 10th January 2024 to read your titles and submit your feedback. This process will be conducted virtually, so they are looking for readers who are happy to read digital PDFs and provide feedback through an online form.
Panel members must keep all information on the titles they receive confidential until the final book collection is released by The Reading Agency.
If you would like to be a part of the Readers Panel, please complete this 3 minute form by 9am Friday 8 December.
