Nero Book Award winners 2024 

Date: 10 12 2024

The Nero Book awards are open exclusively to writers based in the UK and Ireland. 
The category winners will be announced on 14th January 2025. 
One of these books will be selected as the overall winner and will be awarded the Nero Gold Prize, Book of the Year.
Each of the category winners will receive £5,000, with the overall winner awarded an additional £30,000.
Children’s Fiction category for readers from eight years old 
Catherine Bruton - Bird Boy (Nosy Crow)
Scarlett Dunmore - How to Survive a Horror Movie (Little Tiger)
Liz Hyder - The Twelve (Pushkin Children’s Books) 
Patrick Ness - Chronicles of a Lizard Nobody (Walker Books)
