Share Your Censorship Experience

Date: 29 05 2024

Are you a school library worker who has been challenged by patrons, parents or community members about your library’s choice of library books, displays or activities held on your library’s premises?

If so, please consider taking part in this research study with University College London that is aiming to document and investigate the experiences of school and public library workers related to book banning and censorship.

Participation will consist of a 30 minute interview held online at a time of your choice. You will be allocated a pseudonym as part of this research, and any identifying details (location of library or specific details of the challenge) will be anonymised.

Please email Alison Hicks ([email protected]) if you are interested in participating.
