Olivia is our valued member and currently serves as an Academic Liaison Librarian at the University of Wales Trinity Saint David (Birmingham). Before this, she enjoyed a rich career as a Secondary English teacher for over 10 years and served as a Learning Resources Manager at Sixth Form level for six years.
Olivia is deeply passionate about promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion, alongside her commitment to literacy and encouraging reading for pleasure. One of the favourite aspects of her work is engaging with others to discuss books, nurturing a love for reading, and advocating for the invaluable role of libraries across all age groups. Olivia believes in the lifelong skill of reading and its ability to transform communities by opening doors to knowledge and understanding.
She is thrilled to be joining the SLA in this highly creative and exciting role, and we’re looking forward to working with her.
