Children's Book Award Shortlists Announced

Date: 05 03 2025

The Children’s Book Award is the only national award voted for solely by children from start to finish.
Any child or young person across the UK can participate in this element of the award and vote on-line. This process takes approximately three months and currently runs from February until May.
The Top 10 have been shortlisted by children from FCBG local testing groups. 
Children and young people to the age of 18 can take part across three age-related categories:

Younger Children (Picture Books)
Younger Readers (age 6 – 11)
Older Readers (age 10 – 18)

The Cinderman, written by Alex Atkinson, published by Usborne

Turtle Moon, written by Hannah Gold and illustrated by Levi Pinfold, published by HarperCollins

Seven Million Sunflowers, written by Malcolm Duffy, published by Zephyr
