CPD Library

The School Library Association offers a CPD Library service - exclusive to UK based SLA members for a small addition to the usual membership fee.

What is it?

The CPD Library allows members to borrow four titles a year per membership. The profit from this will go back into this service, allowing us to buy more titles to add to the collection. The initial set up of this service was funded through use of the SLA reserves and funding from the Library Services Trust.

The titles range from school librarianship titles, to behaviour management; from educational psychology to information literacy. Browse the entire list here: CPD Library

Members who sign up for this additional service will be added to our Library Management System (supplied by Softlink) so any loans can be managed. Email [email protected] for information on how to join our CPD Library (an annual charge of £20 per user applies).

Unfortunately, as we send books out via the post, this service is currently available to UK schools only. We will keep in mind the provision of e-books for the future.

Support us

As a charity, our focus is on helping those that need it. But that means we need your help too. Whether it's volunteering, fundraising or donations, it makes a huge difference to the number of pupils we're able to support.

Become a member

Being a member of the SLA not only entitles you to the training, services and benefits of membership, but it also means you are part of a community who learn from and support each other.
